Dallas County and Yvette Brittany Jackson; Cause DC-24-07658, pending in the 162nd Judicial District, Dallas County, Texas On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner John Wiley Price, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: February 17, 2026 FUNDING SOURCE: GENERAL Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby issue this order directing the Dallas County Treasurer to issue a check in the amount of $35,000.00 made payable The Godsey Law Firm PC & Carrie Monroe as full and final settlement of Carrie Monroe v. Dallas County and Yvette Brittany Jackson ; Cause DC-24-07658, pending in the 162nd Judicial District, Dallas County, Texas. The County Judge is authorized to execute any documentation required for this settlement on behalf of Dallas County; and the County Treasurer is to release said checks to an employee of the Civil Division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, for disbursement and satisfaction.
