2025-0887 Approval of Settlement of Claim of Jose Lorenzo Aguilar (Property Damage Final Settlement) On a motion made by Commissioner Dr. Elba Garcia, and seconded by Commissioner Andrew Sommerman, the following order was passed and adopted by the Commissioners Court of Dallas County, State of Texas: BRIEFING DATE: August 19, 2025 FUNDING SOURCE: GENERAL FUND Be it resolved and ordered that the Dallas County Commissioners Court does hereby issue this order directing the Dallas County Treasurer to issue a check in the amount of $4,197.23, made payable to Jose Aguilar, as a full and final settlement, for the property damage claim of Jose Aguilar, arising from an automobile accident involving Dallas County employee Jose Simental on or around May 14, 2025. That the County Judge is authorized to execute any documentation required for this settlement on behalf of Dallas County; and the County Treasurer is to release said check to an employee of the Civil Division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, for disbursement and satisfaction.
